Softball Closes out Regular Season with Two Non-Conference Opponents

MCKENZIE, Tenn. -The Bethel Lady Wildcats close out their regular season this week playing two non-conference doubleheaders.

The Cats host No. 25 UT Southern Tuesday at 3 & 5 p.m.

It will be the second time the teams have squared off for a twin bill on the season. UTS beat Bethel 17-2 and 11-7 to open up the year back in early February.

Bethel is 12-28 this season. The Cats have dropped six games in a row and are 7-15 at home on the year.

The Firehawks are 26-14 and 11-11 in road action on the season.

The first game Tuesday will mark the 82nd meeting between the two programs with UTS holding a 61-20 advantage and having won eight in a row in the series.

The Lady Cats are travelling to (RV) Blue Mountain Christian Wednesday for a pair of games. Action is scheduled for 2:30  and 4:30  p.m.

The teams met in early April with BMCC winning both games. The Toppers are 32-12-1 and 19-4 at home.

BMCC has an 8-2 advantage in the all-time series.
