Softball Wins on Senior Day
MCKENZIE, Tenn. – The Bethel Lady Wildcats won the series finale Saturday against Lindsey Wilson. The Cats scored two runs in the bottom of the sixth inning and held on for a 5-4 Senior Day victory.
Five seniors were honored in pregame ceremonies.
Lauren Reimsnyder, Madison Carey, Kirsten Eversole, Miranda Carey, and Sierra McLaurin were saluted.
Amelia Sherrill singled in two runs in the first to hand the Lady Cats
Kinsley Nichols drove in a run in the second to up the Bethel margin 3-0.
The score remained that way until the top of the sixth when LWC scored three runs to tie the game.
Refusing to lose on their special day, the Lady Wildcats responded with two runs in the bottom of the sixth. Riley Sharp and Madison Carey drove in the key runs.
The Lady Cats out hit the Raiders 14-7.
Lauren Reimsnyder went the distance and picked up the win.
The Lady Cats are 18-15 overall and 5-10 in the MSC. Bethel snapped a six-game losing streak with the win.
Lindsey Wilson fell to 20-19 and 7-8.
Bethel travels to Campbellsville to close out the regular season for games on Friday and Saturday.
