Lady Wildcats Drop Three Game Series to No. 4 Cumberlands
MCKENZIE, Tenn. – After losing both ends of a doubleheader (14-2, 11-1) Monday to the University of the Cumberlands, the Bethel Lady Wildcats fell again to the 4th ranked Lady Patriots Tuesday.
The Pats scored in each inning of a five-inning affair and won 13-1 to complete the three-game sweep.
UC outhit the Wildcats 14-5.
Miranda Carnell drove in Bethel's only run in the fifth with an RBI single.
UC leads the all-time series between the two at 9-0.
Bethel fell to 17-13 and 4-8 in the MSC.
Cumberlands moved to 29-6 and 12-0. The Pats have won 17 straight games.
Bethel's scheduled home doubleheader Wednesday versus LeMoyne-Owen has been postponed. The Lady Cats are off until April 18 when they host MSC foe Lindsey Wilson.
