Softball Takes Two out of Three in Series at Georgetown
GEORGETOWN, Ky. – The Bethel Lady Wildcats dropped the final game of their three-game series at Georgetown Friday, falling 8-7 to the Tigers.
The Cats won game one of the series on Thursday, winning 5-3.
Bethel scored two runs in the first, two runs in the third and a single run in the fourth. GC scored three runs in the third. Bethel outhit the home team 10-7.

Amelia Sherrill pitched seven strong innings, winning her sixth game of the season.
A late flurry of runs was the difference in game two Thursday. Trailing 3-0, Bethel plated six runs in the fifth and two runs in the sixth to claim an 8-3 victory.

Lauren Reimsynder picked up her fifth win of the season.
In the series finale, Miranda Carnell, Sherrill, and Fallyn Jordan each had RBI singles in the first to give the Lady Cats a 3-0 cushion. Georgetown exploded for five runs in the third and a single run in the fourth to grab a 6-3 margin.
The Lady Cats took a 7-6 lead with four runs in the fifth. Sharp single in a run, Wiers scored on a wild pitch and Sherrill delivered, driving in two runs with a single.
The Tigers bounced back to win with two runs in the bottom of the inning.
Sherrill suffered the loss.
The Lady Wildcats (17-10, 4-5) jump back into action on Wednesday hosting Kentucky Wesleyan at 4 & 6 p.m.
Georgetown finished the series 9-16 and 2-7.
