Lady Cats Sweep Fightin Indians in Four Game Set

MCKENZIE, Tenn.-The Bethel Wildcats roared to a commanding 15-1 victory over the Haskell Indians in game one of a doubleheader Wednesday at Lady Wildcat Park.

Bethel came out swinging, lighting up the scoreboard with a seven-run first inning. Riley Sharp set the tone early, smashing a home run that brought in four RBIs, while Miranda Carnell added to the excitement with two doubles and two RBIs of her own. Fallyn Jordan contributed with two hits and an RBI, showing power and precision at the plate.

Haskell's lone bright spot came in the top of the second inning when Chasely Roberts drove in Mariah Graves for their only run of the game. Graves also showcased her skill with a double earlier in the inning.

On the mound, Bethel's Lauren Reimsnyder was a force to be reckoned with. She pitched a complete five-inning game, striking out five and allowing only one earned run. Haskell's pitchers faced a relentless Bethel offense, with Celia Farrow, Mariah Graves, and Kalei Hale combining efforts but unable to stem the tide.

Defensively, Bethel played with poise. Riley Sharp redeemed her lone fielding error with several solid plays at third base, while Fallyn Jordan held down first base with five putouts.

As the final out was recorded, Bethel celebrated a well-earned victory, their bats booming and their defense holding firm. For the Wildcats, it was another  statement win in a series they dominated.

In Game 2, Bethel continued their dominance, clinching a 10-2 win over Haskell. Haskell struck first, scoring two runs in the opening inning off RBIs from Trenity Duvall and Abrianna Herrera. Jaivin Bad Bear led the charge with two hits and a stolen base.

Bethel responded quickly, tallying three runs in the bottom of the second inning and never looking back. Kinsley Nichols was unstoppable at the plate, driving in three runs with two hits. Madison Carey and Fallyn Jordan added to the onslaught with multiple RBIs, while Kinsley Caruthers showcased her speed with a stolen base.

Amelia Sherrill commanded the pitcher's circle, throwing five solid innings, striking out two, and limiting Haskell to just two runs. Defensively, Bethel was sharp, committing no errors and making crucial plays to keep Haskell off the board after the first inning.

With a combined score of 25-3 across the doubleheader, Bethel demonstrated their offensive firepower and defensive prowess, leaving their fans excited for what lies ahead in the season.

Bethel improved to 14-5 while Haskell dropped to 2-15.
