Lady Cats Complete Series Sweep of Grace Christian

MCKENZIE, Tenn. – After outscoring Grace Christian 20-4 in their Thursday afternoon doubleheader, the Bethel Lady Wildcats continued with an offensive onslaught again Friday at Lady Wildcats Park with two more convincing wins over the visitors from Michigan. The Cats swept the series by winning 15-2 in five innings and 5-1 in game two.

The Cats followed a 28-hit attack with 21 hits on Friday.

Bethel continued their torrid start moving to 8-0. Grace Christian fell to 0-4.

Bethel's Riley Sharp drove in five runs in game one. Miranda Carnell accounted for three RBI's. Amme Benson drove in two runs while Adalyn Allen and Fallyn Jordan drove in single runs. The Cats scored in runs in four of the five innings.

 Lauren Reimsnyder pitched a four hitter to get the win.

Game two saw the Cats take an early lead and behind the pitching of Kinsley Caruthers Bethel was able to sweep the series.

Jaelyn Wiers had two hits and drove in a run. Carnell and Madison Carey each had an RBI. Kinsley Nichols had two hits and scored twice.

Bethel returns to action on Sunday hosting Oakwood at 1 p.m.
