Lady Wildcats & Lindsey Wilson Split Again in Columbia
COLUMBIA, Ky. – After splitting their MSC doubleheader with Lindsey Wilson Friday afternoon in Columbia, the Bethel Lady Wildcats wrapped up their weekend series with another twin bill against the Blue Raiders Saturday.
Friday, LWC won game one 9-0 while Bethel took game two 9-6.
The Lady Wildcats thrashed the Raiders in game one Saturday. Bethel scored five runs in the fourth and three runs in the seventh enroute to a 10-1 victory. Highlighting the fourth was a grand slam by Maria Murdaugh. The seventh inning saw Miranda Carnell slap a three-run shot. The Cats outhit LWC 14-7. Lauren Reimsnyder scattered seven Raider hits and picked up the win.

Game two was a lower scoring affair. Trailing 2-0, Murdaugh had a solo homer to make it 2-1. Bethel had a chance to tie the game in the sixth. With a runner at second and only one out, the Cats were unable to score. The Blue Raiders added three insurance runs late in the game and claimed a 5-1 victory. LWC outhit the Lady Cats 7-4. Bethel committed four errors in the game. Kinsley Caruthers suffered the loss for Bethel.
Bethel finished the day at 11-19 and 2-10 in the MSC.
Lindsey Wilson is 17-14 and 8 -8.
The Lady Wildcats conclude an eight- game road stint with a non-conference doubleheader Tuesday at Blue Mountain Christian. Action begins at 2 p.m.
