2023 Daktronics NAIA Softball Scholar-Athletes Released

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) released the 2023 Daktronics NAIA Softball Scholar-Athletes on Wednesday. Mid-America Christian (Okla.) led the way with 18 honorees. Iowa Wesleyan and Grand View (Iowa) followed closely behind with 15 each.

Bethel University had nine players earn NAIA Scholar status. Leah Beasley, Kirsten Eversole, Kennedy Gillespie, Emma Johnson, Madison Locke, Lauren Reimsnyder, Alexa Thrasher, Mikayla Vincent and Alexis Wheeler all excelled in the classroom.

The 2023 list features 1,131 student-athletes that achieved at least a 3.5 cumulative grade point average (GPA) at their institution. In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, must appear on the eligibility certificate for the sport and have attended one full year at said institution.
