Lady Cats Sweep Series at UPIKE

PIKEVILLE, Ky. – The Bethel Wildcats completed their series sweep winning game three Tuesday in Pikeville. The Cats withstood a late rally by the Bears to win 4-3.

Bethel won their fourth straight and have captured five of their last six. The Cats are 19-14 overall and 9-6 in the Mid-South Conference. UPIKE fell to 14-12 and 3-9.

Bethel is 10-1 in the all-time series between the two programs.

Maddie Locke pitched into the seventh and picked up the win. Lauren Reimsnyder recorded the last two outs and was credited with the save. Pikeville's two run rally in the seventh was not enough to erase the Bethel 4-1 lead.

Maria Murdaugh, Miranda Carnell, Kennedy Gillespie and Jezabelle Quintana each drove in single runs for the victorious Wildcats.    

Bethel's scheduled doubleheader at Blue Mountain Tuesday has been cancelled.

The Lady Cats are off until April 14 when they travel to Cumberland University for a three game set versus the Phoenix.
