Lady Cats Sweep Doubleheader at UPIKE

PIKEVILLE, Ky. – The Bethel Wildcats swept the UPIKE Bears Tuesday in their doubleheader in Pikeville. The Cats won 11-4 and 7-0 to move to 18-14 overall and 8-6 in the Mid-South Conference. The Bears dropped to 14-11 and 3-8. 

Bethel leads the series between the two programs 9-1.

In game one the Cats rapped out 11 hits. Kennedy Gillespie had three RBI's. Emma Johnson and Amber Osborne each drove in two runs.  Alexis Wheeler and Jezabelle Quintana each drove in single runs. Quintana picked up the win. 

Wheeler had four hits and three RBI's in game two. She also scored four times in the 7-0 victory. Gillespie and Osborne had impacts again driving in two runs each.  The Cats had 10 hits in the win.

Lauren Reimsnyder fired a complete game two hitter to pick up her sixth win of the season.

The teams wrap up the series with a single game on Wednesday at 11 a.m.
