Softball Drops Doubleheader at No. 14 Freed-Hardeman
HENDERSON, Tenn. -The Bethel Lady Wildcats traveled to Henderson Saturday to meet the Freed-Hardeman Lady Lions in a MSC doubleheader.
FHU won both games, winning 7-0 and 3-0.
After leaving the bases loaded in the first, Bethel saw FHU score three runs in the bottom of the first to grab a 3-0 lead. The Lions added three runs in the second and two runs in the third to win 7-0. FHU outhit the Cats 15-4. Bethel committed four errors in the game. Maddie Locke suffered the loss while Brittany Adair picked up the FHU win.
The Wildcats outhit Freed in game two but a three run third inning by the Lions accounted for the only runs in the game. Jezabelle Quintana pitched well but was charged with the loss. FHU's Chloe Winters picked up her fourth win of the season.
The losses snapped a Bethel five-game win streak. The Cats dropped to 14-12 overall and 4-4 in the league. Freed moved to 11-6 and 4-3.
The teams complete the weekend series with a single game Sunday at 1 p.m.
