Bethel’s Artem Dzun Breaks Two School Records and Wins Three Events at LWC Fall Frenzy
COLUMBIA, Ky. -Bethel swimmer, Artem Dzun broke two school records and won three events at the 11th Annual Fall Freny at Lindsey Wilson College in Columbia, Kentucky this past weekend.
Dzun, a standout swimmer from Russia had an outstanding effort in the 200 Medley where he broke the school record with a time of 1:58.96. He broke the old record by more than four seconds. In the 200 Butterfly, Dzun shattered the old record by more than 17 seconds with a time of 1:57.86. Duzn was also first in the 400 IM with an effort of 4:21.80.
Both the Wildcats and Lady Wildcat finished sixth out of seven schools competing in the Fall Frenzy.
The event marked the debut of new swim coach Kirsten Sass. Bethel swimmer Eric Edwards said, "It was a wonderful weekend of swimming with many other amazing races we look forward to many more great swims."
