Cats & Tigers Finish in Draw
MCKENZIE, Tenn. – The No. 17 Bethel Wildcats played host to the Georgetown Tigers Thursday in Walter Butler Stadium in McKenzie.
Bethel had a huge margin in shots on goal and in shots but in the end had to settle for a 1-1 draw.
After a scoreless first period, Bethel took a 1-nil lead at the 52:23 mark on a goal by Alvin Oguta. Hubert Oduya Kompany had the assist.
The lead was short-lived however as Georgetown's Pedro Canal tied the game 16 seconds later.
That would be the extent of the scoring in the match.
The Wildcats finished the night at 7-1-4 and 3-0-1 in the MSC.
Bethel had a 21-6 advantage in shots and a 10-2 margin in shots on goal.
The Cats improved to 8-1-3 overall and 3-0-0 in the MSC with a 4-1 win. The Cats sport a 5-0-4 mark at home.
The Tigers returned home at 7-2-3 and 2-0-1.
The Cats return to action October 18 traveling to Talladega with play beginning at 4:15 p.m.
