Cats Best Blue Raiders
MCKENZIE, Tenn. – The No. 18 Bethel Wildcats played host to MSC rival Lindsey Wilson Wednesday night in Walter Butler Stadium. The Wildcats snapped a three-game losing streak against the visitors from Kentucky with a 2-0 victory.
Bethel moved to 6-1-3 overall and 1-0 in league play. The Raiders fell to 3-5-2 and 0-1.
The game was defined by yellow cards and penalty kicks. There were nine yellow cards issued and one red card.
Bethel got on the board with a penalty kick by Hubert Oduya Kompany at the 27:07 mark.
In the second period, Bethel's Alvin Oguta scored on a penalty kick.
The Wildcats had a 10-5 margin in shots and a 5-2 advantage in shots on goal.
It was the ninth meeting between the two programs with LWC holding a 5-3-1 advantage in the series.
The Cats travel to the University of the Cumberlands Thursday, October 3rd to battle the Patriots in another league matchup.
