Soccer Cats & Mighty Oaks Finish in a Draw

MCKENZIE, Tenn. – After suffering their first loss on the season Saturday, the No. 18  Bethel Wildcats hoped to return to their winning ways Tuesday and it appeared that would be the case holding a 1-nil lead late in their game versus visiting Oakland City.

The Oaks had other ideas however as Ian Cowie scored at the 85:41 mark to tie the game. Bethel's Horace Avila Jr.  had given the Wildcats a 1-nil lead at the 61:19 mark.

Bethel had a 15-2 advantage in shots and a 6-1 margin in shots on goal.

Bethel is 5-1-2 on the season while Oakland City is 3-1-1.

Up Next:

Bethel travels to UT Southern Saturday to meet the RedHawks at 5 p.m. It will be the 28th meeting in the series with the Wildcats holding a 17-8-2 advantage between the two programs. The Wildcats have won two in a row and seven of the last ten in the series.
