Soccer Cats Conquer Barons
MCKENZIE, Tenn. -The Bethel Wildcats returned to the pitch Thursday night hosting Brewton-Parker.
The Cats moved to 5-0-1 with a 8-0 victory over the visiting Barons. BPU dropped to 0-4-1.
It was the third meeting between the two programs with the Cats now owning a 3-0 margin in the series.
Six first period goals by the Wildcats gave Bethel a commanding margin at the break.
Gregory Cousins scored two goals. Horace Avila Jr. and Stanley Isaac also had goals.
Juan Carreno and Alvin Aguta scored late in the period. Avila also had two assists. Jamie Hope had an assist while Juan Pablo Garcia had two assists.
Avila added another score in the second period to extend Bethel's margin to 7-nil. Mame Ibou Diop was credited with the assist.
At the 27-minute mark Bethel's Mountaga Sall scored on an assist from Standley Grand-Pierre Sr. to give the Cats 8-nil.
Bethel had a 25-7 advantage in shots and a 16-3 margin in shots on goal.
