Soccer Cats & Night Hawks Battle to Draw

MCKENZIE, Tenn. – The No. 18 Bethel Wildcats and the (RV) Thomas University Nigh Hawks battled Thursday night in McKenzie. It was the fourth meeting all-time in the series.

The squads battled to a 1-1 tie. The series now stands at 1-2-1 in favor of Thomas.

The Night Hawks scored with 15:29 left in the second period to take a 1-nil lead. The goal was by Diego Sanchez on an assist from James Hall.

Bethel's Horace Avila Jr. tied the game dramatically with a goal with just 3:41 remaining.

The match finished in a deadlock.

Bethel had an 11-6 advantage in shots and a 6-5 margin in shots on goal.

The Wildcats finished the night at 3-0-1 while Thomas left McKenzie at 1-2-1.

Bethel is back in action Saturday hosting LSU-A at 1 p.m. in Walter Butler Stadium.
