Soccer Cats Open Season at Home Beating Bryan College
MCKENZIE, Tenn. – The No. 22 Bethel Wildcats opened their season at Walter Butler Stadium playing host to the Bryan College Lions Monday.
The Cats beat the Lions 2-0 to move to 1-0 on the season. Bryan fell to 0-1.
Alvin Oguta scored at the 16:14 mark to give the Cats the lead. Horace Avila Jr. was credited with the assist.
Hubert Oduya Kompany scored later on a penalty kick to the Wildcats a 2-0 margin at the break.
Those scores were enough to propel the Cats to the victory.
Bethel had a 5-3 advantage in shots on goal and a 13-6 margin in total shots.
