Wildcats Leave for Oklahoma in Style with Best Wishes from Vice-President of Athletics, Staff, Fans, and Supporters
MCKENZIE, Tenn.- Bethel University Vice President of Athletics Derek Horne hosted a special early morning sendoff event Wednesday for the Bethel University men's basketball team as they prepared to travel for the First and Second Rounds of the NAIA Men's Basketball National Tournament.
Several university staff members, their families, and supporters gathered to celebrate the team's accomplishments and offer encouragement as the Wildcats begin postseason play. The event provided an opportunity for the campus community to recognize the players and coaches for their dedication and success throughout the season.
"We wanted to show our appreciation to them for a great season and offer our support as they travel to compete," said Horne. "Our campus community is proud of this team and excited to see them represent Bethel on the national stage."
The Wildcats will face Langston University in the opening round of the tournament on Friday, March 13. The matchup marks an important opportunity for Bethel to continue its strong season and compete for a national championship berth. Tip-off is scheduled for 5 p.m. CT.
