Cats Drop Exhibition at Tennessee Tech

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. –The Bethel Wildcats traveled to Cookeville Saturday for an exhibition against the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles.

Tech took control of the game in the first half and led 51-27 at the break. The Golden Eagles went on to win 101-69.

The Wildcats struggled from the field shooting just 40 percent from the floor. The Eagles shot 53 percent and were 19-of-23 from behind the arc. The Cats hit just three treys in 23 attempts.

Joe Wimberly and Alonzo Rhodes Jr. led Bethel with 10 points each.

Brandon Muntu led the Golden Eagles with a game high 22 points. He was one of four Tech players who finished in double figures.

Tech counted the game as a regular season game and moved to 5-6 on the season.

The Wildcats return to play Tuesday hosting Missouri Baptist at 6 p.m.
