Bethel’s Hughes Earns MSC Men’s Basketball Offensive Player of the Week Award

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Bethel's (Tenn.) Chauncey Hughes III is the Mid-South Conference Men's Basketball Offensive Player of the Week, conference officials announced on Monday.

Pinnacle Financial Partners sponsors the Mid-South Conference Player of the Week Award program. Pinnacle Financial Partners was founded in 2000 and is headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, with banks in eight states in the southeast United States.

MSC Men's Basketball Offensive Player of the Week

Chauncey Hughes III – Bethel (Tenn.) – Sr. – Guard – Cario, Ill.

• Hughes averaged 26 points for the week and had 27 in the Wildcats' upset win over #14 LSU-Alexandria.
• The senior shot 57 percent from the floor in Bethel's two wins, averaging five rebounds and 2.5 steals too.
• Hughes earns his first weekly conference honor this season and first of his career.
