Wildcats Fall at FHU

HENDERSON, Tenn. – The Bethel Wildcats ran into a hot shooting Freed-Hardeman team Saturday in Henderson. The No 11 Lions shot 60 percent from the floor and knocked down 16 three-pointers enroute to a 100-54 win over the Wildcats.

It was FHU's ninth straight win which snapped Bethel's five game win streak.  

It was the 29th meeting between the two programs with FHU holding a 23-6 advantage in the series.

Freed led 54-22 at the half. Bethel shot just 25 percent from the floor and was 5-of-21 in their three-point attempts.

Querrion Gadson was the only Wildcat in double digits with 11 points.

Five Lions finished in double figures with Quan Lax leading FHU with 16 points.

It was the conference opener for Bethel which dropped to 11-6 and 0-1. The Lions moved to 14-2 and 2-0.

The Wildcats return to action Thursday traveling to Campbellsville. Tip-off is slated for 7:30 CT.
