Cats Fall in Exhibition Play at SEMO
CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. -The Bethel Wildcats traveled to Southeast Missouri State Saturday for exhibition action before hosting Welch College on January 8. The Wildcats hung tough until the very end but fell 71-61 to the Redhawks.
The Wildcats had a 34-29 advantage in rebounds, but SEMO shot 51 percent from the floor. The Cats shot 42 percent from the field. Both squads hit three three-pointers. The Redhawks had a 31-22 margin in points off the bench.
Querrion Gadson had 18 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Wildcats. Kendan Maddox had 12 points.
Josh Early led SEMO with 14 points.
The Redhawks moved to 6-10 on the season. The Cats will take a 10-5 mark into the game versus Welch on Monday.

The Wildcats begin MSC play on January 13. The first three games are road games. After traveling to Freed-Hardeman on the 13th, Bethel then faces road games at Campbellsville (18th) and Lindsey Wilson (20th).
