Cats Capture Fourth Straight Win with Victory over CRC
MCKENZIE, Tenn. – The Bethel Wildcats won their fourth straight with a 75-53 victory over Crowley's Ridge in the final game of the Chick-Fil A Classic late Saturday afternoon. Bethel moved to 5-1 on the season. The Cats are 122-48 all-time in Crisp Arena.
CRC dropped to 2-3 on the year.
Bethel led 40-27 at the half and maintained a comfortable second half margin to win.
The Wildcats had a 39-29 advantage on the boards. The Cats forced the Pioneers into 23 turnovers.
Connor Guthrie led Bethel with 20 points. Querrion Gadson had 10 tallies. Brennon Marsh had eight points and a team-high ten rebounds. Guthrie and Marsh were named to the all-tournament team.
Coach Jeff Britt commented, "We are happy with the win. A lot of guys contributed, and we need that to continue. I was happy to see Connor and Brennon named to the all-tournament squad. We have a quick turn around and will have to get ready to play a good Topper team Monday."
The Wildcats host Blue Mountain Christian Monday at 7 p.m. There will be a JV game at 5 p.m.
