Wildcats Fall to Columbia International

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – The Bethel Wildcats fell to Columbia International Saturday on the second day of the Ken Woods Memorial at Life University.

Bethel trailed 41-31 at the half and it proved too much for the Cats to overcome, falling 83-76.

Bethel had three more field goals than CIC, but free throws proved to be a big key in the game. Bethel was just 0-for-4 from the charity stripe.  The Rams were 13-of-15.

The Rams hit eight three-pointers while Betel connected on six treys.

CIC outrebounded Bethel 28-25.

Querrion Gadson led the Wildcats with 22 points. Connor Guthrie had 10 points.

Both teams finished the day at 1-1 on the season.

The Wildcats return to action Thursday traveling to Blue Mountain Christian with the tip-off scheduled for 7:30 CT.
