Cats Cannot Keep Pace with Tigers
GEORGETOWN, Ky.-The Bethel Wildcats began their second portion of the regular season with an 91-65 loss at No. 15 Georgetown Thursday.
The Cats dropped to 8-7 overall and 4-6 in the MSC. The Tigers improved to 14-2 and 8-2. It was Georgetown's sixth consecutive win.
Georgetown led 43-30 at the half and outscored the Wildcats 48-35 in the second half to secure the victory.
Bethel shot 32 percent in the game and hit seven three-pointers. The Cats were 10-of-16 from the free throw line.
Georgetown had a 49-45 rebound margin in the game.
Dimitrije Stojanovic led the Cats with 14 points and 12 rebounds. Tyler Neely had 12 points.
The Tigers shot 45 percent from the field and hit six three pointers. GC was 11-of-18 from the free throw line.
Kyran Jones had game highs of 20 points and 16 rebounds for the Tigers.
The Cats remain in the Commonwealth traveling to the University of the Cumberlands Saturday with tip-off versus the Patriots at 2 p.m. CST.
