Wildcats Face Patriots Saturday in Williamsburg
WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. – After leaving campus Wednesday morning headed to Pikeville, the Bethel Wildcats learned several hours later, their scheduled Thursday game versus the UPIKE Bears had been postponed. The Cats returned to McKenzie that afternoon. No make-up date is available currently for that contest.
The Cats departed McKenzie again Friday morning, this time headed to Williamsburg to meet the University of the Cumberlands in a MSC match-up scheduled for Saturday at 1 p.m. CST.
The Wildcats will take an overall record of 10-5 to Commonwealth. They are 2-5 in league action. Bethel is coming off an impressive 79-77 road win at Freed-Hardman on Monday.
The Cats are averaging 78.1 points and yielding 68.3 points per outing.
Kamron Rose leads the Wildcats is scoring at 11.7 points per game. Jamarius Mayberry is good for 11.4 points per contest. Jon Brown averages 11.3 points per game. Drew Thomas follows at 11.2.
Bethel shoots 44 percent from the field while their opponents are at 41 percent from the floor. Bethel hits 35 percent of their three-point attempts. The opponents are at 30 percent. Bethel shoots 68 percent from the foul line while opponents shoot 62 percent.

Senior Jarred Walker enters the UC game with 388 career assists and 197 career steals. Walker is 11th in program history in assists and 5th in career steals. Jon Brown returns to the court with 1, 148 career points. He has 284 of those points as a Wildcat.
Coach Jeff Britt is in his 22nd year at Bethel and has a mark of 386-291 with the Wildcats. He has 491 career wins and is 10th among active coaches in the NAIA. Britt has 11 seasons with 20-plus wins as head coach of the Cats.
Cumberlands beat Freed-Hardeman 73-63 Thursday in Williamsburg and moved to at 11-5 and 5-3.
The Patriots average 77.9 and yield 70.2 points per outing.
Steve Fitzgerald leads UC in scoring averaging 18.2 points per game. Jahi Hinson follows at 17.9 points per game.
Matt Daniel is in his first season a head coach of the Patriots. Daniel had previously served as an assistant with the Pats.
After the weekend road game, Bethel returns home for four straight home games. The Cats play eight home games the remainder of the season. The Lady Cats are 113-34 all-time in Crisp Arena.
