Cats Remain on Road with Visit to Crowley’s Ridge
PARAGOULD, Ark. - The Bethel Wildcats look to make it four wins in a row with a visit to Crowley's Ridge College Tuesday night. The non-conference affair gets under way at 7 p.m. in the Carter Activities Center.
It will be the 8th meeting between the two programs with Bethel holding a 7-0 advantage in the series.
The two squads met on November 23rd in Crisp Arena with Bethel capturing a 102-62 victory.
The Cats take an 8-3 mark to Paragould while the home-standing Pioneers are 1-10.

The Wildcats won their third straight game with a 104-55 win over Southeastern Baptist on day two of the Johnnie Armstrong Classic at Blue Mountain College Saturday. The 104 points were a season high for the Wildcats.
Bethel moved to 8-3 while SBC dropped to 0-10.
Bethel jumped out to 25-8 lead 11 minutes into the game and never looked back. The Cats led 51-21 at the half.
Kamron Rose led Bethel with 18 points and seven rebounds. Jamarius Mayberry had a solid effort with 14 points and a game high eight rebounds. Jose Nazario contributed with 12 tallies. Hayden Thomas, Latrell Carter, and Jarred Walker finished with 11 points each. Walker also had five assists and three steals.
Bethel shot 58 percent from the field and had a whopping 45-15 rebound advantage. Bethel forced the Chargers into 24 turnovers.
Larry Holmes Jr. led SBC with 14 points.
With the win, Coach Jeff Britt moved closer to win # 500. Britt has now won 489 games in his career. Three hundred and eighty-three of those have been at Bethel. He currently ranks 10th for most wins among active NAIA Division I men's basketball coaches.
Coach Britt stated, " The fast start helped us take command early. I was pleased with our starters and bench. We had an impressive effort on the boards and never let them back into the game after our early play."

Freshman Braxton Cousins scored a career-high 44 points and pulled down seven rebounds to lead the Crowley's Ridge College Pioneers to a 95-91 win over Pensacola Christian (Fla.) College.
Cousins' 44 points are the second highest Crowley's Ridge (1-10) point total behind Zach Mitchell who scored 51 points on January 25, 2011. His final stat line was 44 points on 16-23 shooting and 12-21 from the free throw line. He broke the free throws attempted and field goals attempted in single-game records.
Freshman Alex Mero added 22 points and 11 rebounds on the day. J.D. Smith added 10 points and J.M. Gregg and Ke Roberson contributed 12 rebounds each in the win. Roberson also handed out eight assists in the afternoon defeat of the Pensacola Christian (3-8) Eagles.

Bethel led 49-29 at the half. The Wildcats outscored the Pioneers 19-3 to begin the second half and never looked back winning 102-62.
Four Wildcats finished in double figures with Hayden Thomas leading the Cats with 14. Jamarius Mayberry and Jon Brown contributed with 12 points each. Isaac Rankhorn came off the bench popping in 11 points. Thirteen different Wildcats scored in the game. Mayberry pulled down a game high 10 rebounds. Jarred Walker and Jose Nazario each had six assists for the Wildcats.
Braxton Cousins led CRC with a game high 23 points.
Bethel's bench outscored the Pioneer reserves 50-15. Bethel owned the boards with a 50-23 advantage.
The Cats shot 56 percent hitting 39-of-69 shots from the field. Bethel was 13-of-29 from behind the three-point arc at 44 percent.

The Wildcats average 79.6 points per game and yield 66.5. Bethel is led in scoring by Jon Brown who averages 12.0 per game. He is joined in double figures by Kamron Rose (11.4), Drew Thomas (10.6), and Jamarius Mayberry (10.5). The Wildcats outrebound their opponents 51-29 and are 8-1 when they have the advantage on the boards.
Pioneer Trails:
The Pioneers average 71.4 points per outing. CRC gives up 89.7 per game. Braxton Cousins leads his team averaging 22.4 points per game. J.D. Smith pops in 13.3 while Alex Mero is good for 11.0 per contest.

Jarred Walker has 378 assists which is 11th all-time in program history. He is 5th all-time in steals with 194.
Jon Brown adds to Career Total:
Combining his play at West Florida and Bethel, Jon Brown is a member of the 1,000 Point Club with 1, 114 career points. In his twenty games as a Wildcat, he has scored 254 points.
Coaches:
Jeff Britt is in his 22nd year as the head men's basketball coach at Bethel University and his 33rd year as a college basketball coach. His record as a head coach is 489-332 and includes 11 seasons with 20-plus wins. Britt is 383-289 at Bethel.
Chris Perkins is in his 15th season as the Head Men's Basketball Coach at Crowley's Ridge College and his 17th season as a Head Coach overall. Perkins became the All-Time Career Wins Leader in Crowley's Ridge College history on February 20, 2016, with a 94-71 win over Baptist Bible (Mo.) College passing former Head Coach, and current Athletic Director, Paul McFadden. He is a former assistant at Bethel.
