Bass Cats Ranked 10th in Preseason National Poll

SAN ANTONIO, TX– The Association of Collegiate Anglers is putting together a three-part article series reviewing the current rankings for the Bass Pro Shops School of the Year presented by Abu Garcia. The 2025-26 season is currently at its mid-way point, with fall events drawing to a close. 

Here is the second update on  teams currently ranked 6-15 in college fishing's only all-encompassing National Rankings system.

6) Blue Mountain Christian University (Pre-Season Rank: 8th)
7) Tarleton State University (Pre-Season Rank: 12th)
8) Auburn University (Pre-Season Rank: 13th)
9) Drury University (Pre-Season Rank: 6th)
10) Bethel University (Pre-Season Rank: 14th)
11) McKendree University (Pre-Season Rank: 4th)
12) Adrian College (Pre-Season Rank: 7th)
13) LSU-Shreveport (Pre-Season Rank: 5th)
14) Campbellsville University (Pre-Season Rank: 10th)
T-15) Kentucky Christian University (Pre-Season Rank: 17th)
T-15) Murray State College (Pre-Season Rank: 21st)

With a tie at 15th, this rankings review highlights 11 teams. Each of those programs were selected in the Top 25 for the ACA's Pre-Season Poll entering this year. All but one (Murray State College), were picked inside of the Top 20.

Mason added, "This is a status which has been obtained by the loyalty of our students and faculty alike."
