Bio

Joaquin Collazo III is a native of Melbourne, Florida. He is the son of Kelly Camirand and Joaquin Collazo. He graduated from Melbourne Central Catholic in 2018.

His junior season the team finished 11-1 which included a historic, nine overtime victory over Clearwater Central Catholic for the regional championship.

After graduating from MCC, Collazo attended Tusculum University in 2018 to 2021. Collazo transferred to Bethel in the spring of 2021.

The rest is history.

Joaquin passed for 6, 853 career yards and 66 touchdowns. The Wildcats were 22-3 the last two seasons. He was selected to the Associated Press Second-Team All-American and an honorable mention All-American on the AFCA coaches’ poll, 1st Team Mid-South and earned a Champions of Character award and Mid -South Conference Player of the Year award.

In 2023 he was 2nd-Team All-American on the AFCA coaches list, while remaining on 1st team Mid-South, and Mid-South Conference Offensive Player of the Year.

For the past two years did an outstanding job in the sports information department at Bethel University with Mr. Dave McCulley. He was also on the ASA (Association of Student Athletes) for the last two years. In August of 2023, he received his bachelor’s in psychology, while finishing his Master's in Sports Administration. This is his first year on the Bethel University staff.
