Bio
Kris Beauchamp enters his first season on the Bethel University football staff
in 2025 as Co-Defensive Coordinator, after serving as the Wildcats’
defensive line coach and strength and conditioning coordinator in 2024.
In 2024, Beauchamp helped lead a dominant defensive unit that ranked
among the best in the NAIA. The Wildcats finished 6th nationally in scoring
defense (13.0 points per game) and 8th in total defense (264.8 yards per
game), both marks leading the Mid-South Conference. Bethel’s run defense
also ranked 13th in the nation, allowing just 99 yards per game. Under his
guidance, the defensive line produced standout performers, including Second
Team All-Conference honoree and Mid-South Defensive Freshman of the
Year, Duston Chavis.
Prior to his time in McKenzie, Beauchamp served as the defensive line coach
at McPherson College (KS), where he coached six All-Conference defensive
linemen and contributed to a top-10 nationally ranked defense during the
2022–23 season. His previous coaching experience also includes stints at
Bluffton University and Birmingham-Southern College.
A native of Norcross, Georgia, Beauchamp played collegiately at Centre
College from 2012 to 2015 as a defensive lineman and was a member of the
2014 Southern Athletic Association Championship team. He holds a
bachelor’s degree in religion from Centre College and a master’s degree in
sport management from Liberty University.
