Esports Falls to Alvernia Maroon

MCKENZIE, Tenn. - The Bethel Valorant team was back in action Monday night as they fell to Alvernia Maroon in a best of three series. The Wildcats fell, 2-0.

The team started out hot yet again going up 7-3 before losing control on the defending side of things and losing 13-9. The second map saw the squad unable to get their feet up under them before it was too late as they fell in the match.

Coach Matthew Ellis commented, "I want to send a huge shout-out to Will Singleton. I deemed him MVP as he improved the most from last week. I could tell he was focused in on helping the team as much as he could and communicating to the other teammates when the enemies were coming. I think we all as a team had spurts of improvement in certain areas. Going forward if we can put this improvement together fully as a team and keep getting better day by day and getting that much needed experience it will  just make us that much better."

Ellis added, "Lastly, I told the team we just have to focus and stay zoned in and take it round by round to pull out a win. The team agreed and we have already started scouting for next week. We will put the best strategic plan together and see what will work on certain maps. I'm proud of how much this team is eager to get better and that will be the deciding factor in weeks to come."

Bethel Valorant will be back in action next Monday night against Trent White at 6:30 p.m. We are looking to bouncing back after losing this week."
