Bat Cats Split Doubleheader with Campbellsville

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – The Bethel Wildcats completed their three-game series at Campbellsville Saturday.

 After falling 9-5 in Friday's single game, the Cats and Tigers split their twin bill Saturday.

The Cats pounded out 16 hits and scored 14 runs to dominate game one, 14-6.

The Cats out hit the Tigers 16-9. Campbellsville committed three errors in  the loss.

A five run first, followed by three runs in the third, two in the fourth, and four in the sixth resulted in the convincing bounce back win.

Six different Wildcats drove in runs. Juan Diego Ramos and Zayden McCaslin each drove in four teammates. Adriel Vega accounted for three runs driven in. Galvin Sims, Tyler Webb, and Evan Cardwell each had an RBI. C J Lattimore and Sims scored three runs in the win.

Zachary Zimmer picked up the victory while Joe McBride suffered the Tiger loss.

The Tigers turned the tables on the Wildcats in game two. The home squad scored two runs in the first, four in the second, and one in the third to lead 7-0 after three.

Garrett Taylor had an RBI in the sixth to cut the Wildcats deficit to 7-1. McCaslin had an RBI double in the seventh for Bethel's other run. The Tigers out hit the Wildcats 10-6 in the 7-2   victory.

Alex Sterling was charged with the Bethel loss while Tristi Crusenberry picked up the Tiger win.

The Wildcats finished the day 7-16 overall and 1-2 in the league. The Tigers (RV) are 17-9 and 4-2.

The Cats return to action Friday and Saturday hosting the Georgetown Tigers. The squads will play a single game on Friday at 1 p.m. and a doubleheader Saturday at noon.
