Wildcats Drop Doubleheader to No. 5 Johnson University
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -The Bethel Wildcats dropped both games of their doubleheader Saturday at Johnson University in Knoxville.
In game one the No. 5 Royals outhit the Wildcats 14-6 enroute to an 11-2 victory. A three-run first and a five run eighth proved to be enough for Johnson.
Evan Cardwell drove in both Wildcat runs in the fourth with a single.
Two runs in the first and a single run in the second were all the Royals needed in a 3-0 win in game two.
Johnson's Tyler Barfield held Bethel to four hits and picked up the win in the seven-inning affair.
The Cats fell to 4-11 while the Royals improved to 19-2.
The teams will play a single game tomorrow beginning at noon CT.
