Bat Cats Complete Series Sweep on Senior Day

MCKENZIE, Tenn. -The Bethel Wildcats completed the three -game series sweep over Lindsey Wilson Saturday on Senior Day at the Kahlden Complex.

The Wildcats used a late scoring binge and strong pitching to beat the Kentucky visitors 10-3.

Thirteen seniors were saluted in pregame ceremonies.

JJ Gray, Balfour Roe, Chase Hoover, Bishop Woods, Rivers Moffatt, Jack Beck, Wyatt McKee, Nathan Rhodes, Zach Griffith, Jose Olmeda, CJ Thomas, Luis Aristud and Ivan Vega, were honored in their next to last home game at Wildcat Park.

The Wildcats never trailed in the game. After LWC had cut into Bethel's 3-0 lead by scoring two runs in the seventh, the Cats responded with seven runs in the bottom of the inning.

Jared Hall doubled, homered, and drove in three runs. Adriel Vega doubled and drove in two runs. Jack Beck doubled and drove in two teammates. Luis Aristud, Ivan Vega, and Juan Diego Ramos each drove in a run.

The Wildcats out hit LWC 13-4.

Zach Zimmer had a perfect game through six innings. Zimmer picked up his fifth win of the season.

Bethel improved to 19-18 overall and 7-10 in the MSC.

The Raiders dropped to 6-35 and 2-13.

Bethel leads the all-time series 15-6.

The Wildcats play host to Lane College on Tuesday with action beginning at 1 p.m.
