Bat Cats & Longtime Rival Clash in MSC Action
MCKENZIE, Tenn. – The Bethel Wildcats and the Cumberland University Phoenix met Friday night for the 82nd time. It was the first game of a three game weekend series at the Kahlden Complex.
The Wildcats took a 1-0 lead in the first inning on a fielder's choice RBI by Juan Diego.
The Phoenix scored three runs in the third to lead 3-1. They added three runs in the seventh and two in the eighth to win 8-1.
CU outhit the Wildcats 8-7.

Luke Boswell was charged with the loss.
Bethel (RV) dropped to 26-9 overall and 7-6 in the MSC. Cumberland improved to 19-20 and 3-7.
The loss snapped a Wildcat five game winning streak. CU has won five in a row in the series.
The teams play a twin bill on Saturday beginning at noon.
