Baseball Sweeps ONU
MCKENZIE, Tenn. –The Bethel Bat Cats moved to 8-2 on the season with a pair of wins Saturday, beating Olivet Nazarene 11-4 and 7-3.
In game one of the Annual Civil War series saw the Wildcats rap out 13 hits.
A four run fourth and a five run fifth highlighted another offensive explosion by the Cats. Bethel has scored five or more runs in eight of their ten games this season.
Juan Diego Ramos drove in three runs in the victory. Adriel Vega and Jose Olmeda accounted for two runs while Bryan Catala and Jared Hall drove in single runs.
Tyler Proctor picked up the win.
Luke Boswell and Ryan White teamed up allowing the Tigers just six hits in game two. Boswell picked up the victory.
Two runs in the first and four in third, gave Bethel a 6-1 lead. The Cats would add another run in the fifth and allow them to cruise to the four-run win.
Zach Giffith and Olmeda drove in two runs each while Catala and Noah Foster had single RBI's.
The teams square off again Sunday for another twin-bill beginning at noon.
