2026-27 Bethel University Wildcat Men’s Golf Season Preview
The Bethel University Wildcats enter the 2026-27 season with an exciting blend of experience, international talent, and new faces that should make them a team to watch. After laying the foundation last season, the Wildcats return a strong sophomore core while adding a talented recruiting class and an experienced Division II transfer.
Leading the returning group are sophomores Cohen Bitzer, Matt Leonard, and Landon Wallace. With a full year of collegiate golf behind them, the trio is expected to provide consistency and leadership. Their familiarity with the program and continued development should give the Wildcats a solid foundation throughout the fall and spring schedules.
The Wildcats also welcome an impressive freshman class featuring Ellton Palm, Viktor Norum, both from Sweden and Charles Hamer from England. The newcomers bring fresh talent and added depth to the roster, creating immediate competition for spots in the starting lineup. Their arrival gives Bethel the opportunity to build not only for this season but for years to come.
Adding even more experience is transfer Lane Notter, who joins the Wildcats after competing at NCAA Division II Tiffin University. Notter arrives with collegiate tournament experience and should make an immediate impact in the lineup. His experience competing at a high level will provide valuable leadership alongside the returning sophomores.
With a balanced mix of returning talent, accomplished newcomers, and an experienced transfer, the Wildcats have the pieces to be a deeper and more competitive team this season. If the returning players continue their progression and the new additions adjust quickly to collegiate competition, Bethel has the potential to make significant strides and compete near the top of the Mid-South Conference throughout the 2026-27 campaign.
