Larry Geraldi - Head Coach
I am very proud to be starting my second season as head women's softball coach at Bethel college and look forward to a great season. I graduated from Bethel in 1973 while playing baseball for the Wildcats. My wife, Rita and I were married on the Bethel Campus in 1971. After graduating from Bethel I earned a Master's degree in education from Murray State University and additional hours in administration & supervision from UTM while working in the public school system. I worked 6 years for the Benton County Schools and 29 years for the Humphreys County Schools. I served as teacher, coach, principal, and supervisor of instruction.
God has bestowed many blessings on me including giving me the opportunity to coach at Bethel. My wife, Rita (formerly Ferguson from Trenton, TN) has always been supportive and by my side through thick and thin. She has made a wonderful home for myself and our three daughters while working as a teacher's assistant. My oldest daughter, Lori is a Kindergarten teacher in New Johnsonville, Tn. Lori and her husband, Shane have blessed us with two terrific grandsons, Jacob (9) and Noah (4). Our middle daughter, Maria lives in Atlanta, Georgia with her husband Mark. They have blessed us with two precious granddaughters, Ainsley (3) and Addison (6 mos.). Maria works as an instructional lead teacher with the Cobb County School System. Our youngest daughter, Leslie is a 2005 Bethel Graduate and earned her master's degree from Bethel in 2008. She played 2 years for the Lady Wildcats and served as GA for the 2007 - 08 season. Leslie is presently a 4th grade teacher at Dresden Elementary.
Our goals for the softball team are to develop morally strong, well educated women who will be successful in their adult lives. We will instill teamwork, sportsmanship, and hopefully be competitive as we strive for a championship.
