JACKSON, Tenn. (October 4, 2008) - The Bethel Lady Wildcats soccer team has had a rough season, but a 1-0 shutout over rival Lambuth University should lift spirits. A defensive struggle, Bethel's Philisha Lewis scored with just 5:13 left in regulation to claim the victory.
 

Both teams had chances to score in the first half Lewis had a shot just nine minutes into the contest that that went off the post. Goalkeeper Tashana Taylor made a couple of saves in the first half to keep the score 0-0.

Bethel got ten shots on goal, but could only get Lewis' behind the keeper. In the game, the Lady ‘Cats hit the post three times.

Bethel is now 2-5-1 (0-1) on the season. The Lady Wildcats will be on the road in Nashville, Tenn. to play the Lady Trojans of Trevecca Nazarene University on Thursday, October 9, 2007 at 7:00pm.
